Please read below to learn about eligibility requirements and deadlines for the following scholarships available only to new students:

Administration of Justice (BA) at BC3 Scholarship Program

This scholarship is available to students interested in completing their bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Butler County Community College and online. It is open to those who have earned or will earn an associate's degree from the Butler County Community College with a 2.5 or higher GPA. This $1,000 scholarship will assist in covering the cost of one three-credit-hour course that may be put toward the Administration of Justice (BA) program of study.

Deadline to apply: June 1

Eligibility requirements:

  • Enrolled in or completed an associate's degree program at Butler Community College
  • 2.5 GPA minimum

How to Apply:

After submitting a completed degree application to the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid by June 1, contact Kaitlin Yacob, the CGS Director of Recruitment and Enrollment, to indicate your interest in this scholarship. Once admitted, the scholarship may be applied to your tuition and fees after you enroll in classes. A limited number of scholarships are available. 

New Student Commonwealth Scholarship

This scholarship is available to underrepresented students who are transferring to CGS from an area community college, have earned or will earn an associate's degree, and should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients receive a tuition and fees scholarship for enrollment in Mastering the University, a first-year transfer experience course. Recipients of the New Student Commonwealth Scholarship are automatically reviewed for academic year scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, and may be eligible to receive future scholarships.

  • Underrepresented student
  • CGS transfer from an area Community College
  • Associate's degree
  • 3.0 GPA minimum
